Gamboa reshuffles key posts in PNP
MANILA, Philippines — The head of the nation’s police force ordered the latest reshuffle of some senior officials who are designated to the top posts in the Philippine National Police (PNP).
In a statement on Thursday, PNP chief Gen. Archie Gamboa designated Police Brig. Gen. Manuel Abu as the new director of Police Regional Office of Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.
Police Brig. Gen. Bernabe Balba, former Manila Police District (MPD) Director, was appointed as the new director of Eastern Visayas police. Brig. Gen. Rolando Miranda will replace Balba as MPD director.
Gamboa also appointed Brig. Gen. Alexander Sampaga as director of PNP Headquarters Support Service while Brig. Gen. Marni Marcos was assigned as Acting Director for Comptrollership.
Col. Patrick Villacorte was designated as Acting Deputy Regional Director for Administration of Western Visayas Police.
The PNP chief also designated Brig. Gen. Ferdinand Divina as acting PNP Director for Intelligence while Brig. Gen. Edgar Monsalve was designated as Divina’s deputy director.
Brig. Gen. Jesus Cambay Jr. was also designated as director of PNP Intelligence Group.
Brig. Gen. Danilo Macerin was appointed as PNP National Operations Center director while Brig. Gen. Florencio Ortilla is the new chief of Regional Staff of Metro Manila police.
Other senior officials appointed to key posts are:

• Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon – Deputy Director for Human Resource Doctrine and Development
• Brig. Gen. Joselito Pajarillaga – Deputy Director for Integrated Police Operations – Northern Luzon
• Brig. Gen. Adolfo Samala Jr. – Deputy Director for Plans
• Police Colonel Belli Tamayo – Acting Executive Officer, Directorate for Personnel and Records Management
• Police Colonel Nickson Muksan – Acting Executive Officer, DIPO – Visayas
• Police Colonel Angeles Geñorga, Jr- Acting Deputy Director, PNP Training Service
