DOTr sets up hotlines for emergency transportation needs in Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Thursday revealed its emergency COVID-19 hotlines to provide all modes of transportation for emergency purposes in Metro Manila as mass transport services have been suspended due to the enhanced community quarantine placed in the entire Luzon.

In a statement to reporters, the management of DOTr said it partnered with Globe Telecommunications to set up hotlines that will offer transportation services for health workers in Metro Manila.

The transportation department also rolled out hotlines for concerns about airlines, cargo deliveries, and other maritime operations.

The transportation department also reminded the public to stay at home and limit their movements to halt the spread of the coronavirus disease.

To date, the Department of Health reported  202 cases of coronavirus disease. Of the 202, 17 have died while seven have recovered from the disease.
