2 drug pushers fall in separate Lucena busts
LUCENA CITY, Philippines – Two suspected drug pushers were arrested here on Wednesday afternoon, police said Thursday.
Lt. Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena City police chief, said police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives nabbed Ian Caringal in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) 10 around 5:50 p.m.
Caringal, whom police said is a rookie in the illegal drug trade, reportedly yielded 11 plastic sachets of shabu (crystal meth) valued at P15,500 in the streets.
Earlier, authorities also busted Nino Papelerin in another sting operation in the coastal village of Dalahican around 4 p.m.
The suspect, listed among street-level pusher, was caught carrying eight sachets of shabu worth P14,600.
