MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Wednesday released the routes for free rides provided for health personnel in Metro Manila while public transportation is suspended for the duration of the enhanced community quarantine.
In a statement from the DOTr Media Team, 10 buses will initially be deployed in two pick-up points namely: Southern-based transport hub Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) and BFCT East Metro Transport Terminal in Marikina City.

The free bus service for health workers, who are frontliners in the fight against COVID-19, were coordinated with Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and HM Transit.
DOTr said the route will be changed if there are requests from the Department of Health.
It also assured that the free service will comply with health protocols including body temperature checks, disinfection of vehicles and social distancing.
