Did You Know: March is Rabies Awareness Month

Rabies Awareness Month is observed every March by virtue of Executive Order No. 84 signed on March 13, 1999 by then President Joseph Estrada.

According to the Department of Health, a total of 1,176 rabies cases were reported in the country from January 2014 to June 2018.

The regions with the highest number of rabies cases were Central Luzon (185 cases), Calabarzon (172) and Soccsksargen (110). Metro Manila recorded 70 cases.
