DAGUPAN CITY –– This Pangasinan city was placed under a state of calamity on Tuesday (March 17) to enable the city government to provide for the needs of residents now that Luzon is under lockdown to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The calamity fund could be spent on food for residents who were required to stay indoors until April 12.
Before President Duterte placed the whole Luzon island under quarantine, Governor Amado Espino III had issued Executive Order No. 13-2020, which requires people to stay indoors from March 16 to April 12 to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The number of people being monitored recorded in the province as of Monday (March 16), rose to 9,251./lzb
