Bicol still COVID-19 free – DOH
LEGAZPI CITY –– The Department of Health (DOH) in Bicol, said the region remained free from coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Dr. Ernie Vera, DOH-Bicol chief, said despite the zero cases, the health surveillance unit has recorded one person under investigation (PUI) as of Tuesday afternoon.
Vera said the reported PUI was under isolation in a facility in Camarines Sur.
The 18 PUIs earlier admitted in two hospitals in Bicol, all tested negative of the disease and have been discharged.
There were also 13,383 persons under monitoring (PUMs), but 60 have been cleared. The rest were still under the 14-day mandatory self-quarantine.
Vera said they have yet to validate the five suspected PUIs at the Bicol Regional Teaching and Training Hospital in Daraga, Albay./lzb
