Albay implements 4-day workweek for Capitol employees

LEGAZPI CITY – The provincial government of Albay will implement a four-day workweek at the provincial Capitol amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Governor Al Francis Bichara issued a memorandum on Monday directing all the offices to adopt alternative work arrangements.

Employees will br required to work from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. to complete the 40 hours per week requirement.

All hospitals under the control and supervision of the provincial government should observe 24/7 shifting of employees to perform frontline services.

They will also be required to work 40 hours a week.

Bichara also directed hospital department heads to ensure that all the employees providing essential health services are provided with ample support and protection from the viral illness.
