THE Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) solidified its hold of the lead in the Men’s 19 category of the 14th Aboitiz Football Cup yesterday at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Mandaue City.
DBTC now has six points after winning its second match in the tournament against Don Bosco Boys Home (DBBH), 7-1.
Scorers for DBTC were Val Calvo, Christian Agot, Jun Jay Arizabal and Legaspi.
The other match in the category saw Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) being handed its first win in the tournament on a silver platter after Springdale defaulted in its match.
Win a win and a draw, the Magis Eagles are enjoying a second-place standing in the category with four points.
SHS-AdC’s other teams, however, were not as lucky as their older brothers. In the Boys 14, they succumbed to Mandaue Technical Institute (MTI), 2-0, while in the Boys 12, they got routed by DBTC 1, 4-0.
