2 patients at UST Hospital test positive for coronavirus
MANILA, Philippines — Two patients admitted at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Hospital in Manila have tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In a report by UST’s official student publication The Varsitarian, one person under investigation (PUI) for COVID-19 was also reported.
Because of this, Dr. Marcellus Francis Ramirez was quoted in the report saying that the trainees and staff who were exposed to the patients were sent home to undergo self-quarantine.
As of Saturday, the Department of Health has confirmed 111 cases of COVID-19, eight of which have died.
