Nueva Ecija suspect slain in Friday the 13th drug bust

CABANATUAN CITY –– A suspected drug peddler had the bad luck of selling a sachet of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover agent and was killed in a subsequent gun battle with the police on Friday (March 13) in Barangay General Luna here.

August Madrid allegedly pulled out a handgun when he realized he was the target of a sting operation and was shot dead at 1:30 p.m., said Police Major Jaime Ferrer, Cabanatuan chief of police.

Investigators recovered 10 more sachets of shabu from the suspect./lzb
