CLARK FREEPORT –– The Clark International Airport remains operational to accommodate the influx of passengers, its officials said on Friday.
President Duterte on Thursday suspended domestic air travel to and from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport from March 15 to April 14 following his declaration of a state of public health emergency due to the outbreak of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
But suspended international and domestic flights to NAIA starting March 15 would not be rerouted to the Clark airport, said Teri Flores, corporate communications chief of Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (Lipad) consortium. Lipad operates the airport./lzb
