MANILA, Philippines — Hot and humid weather is expected nationwide on Friday due to the easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Pagasa weather specialist Meno Mendoza said the easterlies will bring humid weather across the country, but isolated rain showers and thunderstorms could occur in the afternoon or evening.
Metro Manila will experience the hottest weather, Mendoza said, with a temperature ranging from 24 to 34 degrees Celsius.
Other areas will have the following temperature range:
Luzon
Tuguegarao City – 22 to 33 degrees celsius
Angeles City – up to 32 degrees celsius
Lipa City – up to 32 degrees celsius
Baguio City – 15 to 26 degrees celsius
Laoag City – 24 to 30 degrees celsius
Tagaytay City – 21 to 29 degrees celsius
Legaspi City – 26 to 33 degrees celsius
Palawan – 24 to 32 degrees celsius
Visayas
Tacloban City – 26 to 34 degrees celsius
Iloilo CIty – up to 32 degrees celsius
Metro Cebu – up to 32 degrees celsius
Mindanao
Metro Davao – 25 to 34 degrees celsius
Valencia – 20 to 28 degrees celsius
Cagayan de Oro City – 23 to 33 degrees celsius
Zamboanga City – 24 to 32 degrees celsius
Pagasa did not raise gale warnings, Mendoza said.
“Ang ating karagatan sa buong kapuluan ay magiging banayad sa katamtaman ang pag-alon.”
No weather disturbance or low pressure area has been monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the weather bureau added.
