Classes suspended in 2 more towns in Albay as execs seek ways to stop COVID-19

LEGAZPI CITY — Classes in all levels in private and public schools in the towns of Daraga and Libon in Albay have been suspended as officials scramble for ways to keep the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) from spreading.

Daraga Mayor Victor Perete, in an advisory, said classes in his town would be suspended from March 13-20.

In Libon, Mayor Wilfredo Maronilla suspended all classes on Friday (March 13).

Maronilla also advised residents, especially students and teachers, to stay at home during the class suspension and avoid gathering in public places.
