PAL allows free one-time rebooking for international flights

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Airlines (PAL) will allow passengers with international flight tickets purchased on or before March 31 to rebook their flights for free.

In an advisory Wednesday, the country’s flagship carrier said it will allow “one-time” free rebooking on international flights except for those originating in Japan and South Korea.

PAL said the move is meant to provide its passengers “added flexibility to rebook their flights” in light of the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) concerns.

The one-time free rebooking may be availed at least seven days before the original flight departure date, for travel at any time within the validity of the ticket.

“This offering applies to all fares,” PAL said.

“We will not charge you rebooking fees or penalties for this change,”  it added.

However, PAL noted that if seats for the same fare type are not available on your chosen flight, the fare difference amount will be charged.

For succeeding rebooking, penalties and charges may apply in line with the stated fare conditions.

“Please note that the one-time free rebooking offer is not valid on purely domestic flights (within the Philippines). However, the offer is valid for passengers holding PAL tickets on codeshare flights operated by our key partner airlines,” PAL said.
