DOH: No case of COVID-19 in Palawan
PUERTO PRINCESA CITY –– The Department of Health (DOH) in Mimaropa reiterated that there was no confirmed case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Palawan and asked the public not to spread or believe in fake news.
Dr. Mario Baquilod, director of DOH in Mimaropa, pointed out Wednesday that there was still no test result from the person under investigation (PUI) isolated in a private hospital in the city.
“No confirmed case yet. There’s no result yet from the specimen sent to Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM),” said Baquilod.
Several online screenshots of group messages were circulated, causing panic among residents.
The health department asked the public to rely only on verified health advisories.
