Furious man kills brother in Quezon

LUCENA CITY –– A 35-year-old farmer killed his elder brother in General Luna town in Quezon province on Tuesday night, police said.

General Luna police reported that Dennis Pollo saw his elder sibling, Marcelo, having a heated argument with their mother inside their house in Barangay Bacong Ilaya around 8:45 p.m.

In a fit of rage, Dennis struck Marcelo’s head with a steel pipe. Marcelo suffered a grave injury and died while being taken to the Bondoc Peninsula District Hospital in nearby Catanauan town.

The suspect surrendered to village officials, who turned him over to the local police.

Police learned that Marcelo often maltreated his mother every time he was under the influence of liquor.
