Bulacan, Manila drug busts net P11.5M in meth
CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan — Police here on Monday (March 9) seized 1.7 kilograms of shabu (crystal meth) worth P11.5-million and arrested four people during separate buy-bust operations.
Col. Lawrence Cajipe, acting police provincial director, said the first operation at Pantoc village in the City of Meycauayan yielded 1.5 kg of shabu worth P10. 2 million.
Arrested were Jonard Halili, 25, and Erwin Borrinaga, 18. Halili is on the drug watch list of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Police also seized a weighing scale and a black Yamaha NMAX motorcycle during the operation.
Two of the suspects’ alleged companions identified as Mirko Francis Berringuel, 21, and Marlon Macarangal, 22, were later arrested in a follow-up operation at Luneta Park in Manila where police seized 200 grams of shabu worth P1.3 million.
