3 ‘meth’ peddlers busted in Lucena

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested three suspected drug pushers in buy-bust operations here early Tuesday.

Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said anti-illegal drug operatives collared Mark Christian Deocales and Ruth Zapanta after they sold shabu (crystal meth) to a police agent in Barangay Marketview at 6:05 a.m.

Authorities seized eight plastic sachets of shabu worth P11,960 in the street market.

In another operation, police also busted Jomabel Mogol in Barangay 4 at 6:35 a.m.

Mogol yielded six plastic sachets of meth worth P7,480.

Police tagged Deocales and Mogol as listed street-level drug pushers in the city while Yap is classified as a neophyte in the illegal drug trade.

The suspects were detained at the city jail and are facing charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
