Warm, hot Tuesday expected due to easterlies – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Expect warmer weather nationwide especially at noontime and in the afternoon due to the easterlies or warm wind blowing from the Pacific Ocean, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said Tuesday.

Temperature range in Metro Manila is from 25 degrees Celsius to a high of 35 degrees Celsius, while Baguio City will have a maximum temperature of 26 degrees Celsius.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, Pagasa said that the easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Flash floods and landslides are possible in areas affected by rain, Pagasa warned.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said that extreme Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong southeast winds and moderate to rough (1.2 to 3 meters) coastal waters.

The rest of the country is expected to experience light to moderate east to southeast winds, and slight to moderate (0.6 to 2.8 meters) coastal waters.
