MANILA, Philippines – A patient who tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is currently admitted at a hospital in Quezon City, the Department of Health (DOH) confirmed on Monday.
“That’s already part of the 10 persons [positive for the virus] we are talking about… This QC, the address would be the hospital’s address and not the address of the person,” Ma. Rosario Vergeire, DOH Assistant Secretary for Public Health Services, said in an interview on CNN Philippines.

This was also earlier announced by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte during a meeting with local government officials on Monday morning, according to a report from Radyo Inquirer.
Belmonte received the information from DOH, according to the report.
The Quezon City government is scheduled to discuss today measures that it will impose following this confirmed COVID-19 case.
Belmonte likewise urged her constituents not to panic and instead follow the advisories of the DOH on how to avoid contracting the virus.
