Tour ni Frank fires off today
TOP riders from Manila, Leyte, Bohol, Cebu and other parts of the Visayas and Mindanao will be converging here today to compete in the Tour ni Frank at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City.
The race, organized by Frank Gatdula, will have B and C divisions with the first stage being a criterium race.
All cyclists will start simultaneously and they will navigate a 2.4-kilometer loop for 40 minutes for category C and 50 minutes for category B.
After completing the desired time, three additional laps will be added to determine the winners.
Stage 2, which is scheduled for tomorrow, will be a climbing road race from Toledo City to the Busay Hills in Cebu City.
The approximate distance that will be traversed by the participants will be 55 kms.
Slated to compete in this race is newly named Philippine team member Luis Miguel “Igi” Maximo, who will be back in the race that basically started his career in 2010.
