CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –– Pampanga, Tarlac, and Cavite provinces will get free public internet access for one year following the signing of an agreement between the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and Converge ICT Solutions on Tuesday.
The Wi-Fi access points in the P24-million project will be installed in 57 publicly owned sites like hospitals, parks, ports, schools, and state colleges and universities, the parties said in a statement.
Converge will install the infrastructure in 60 days after the DICT issues the notice to proceed, Jesus Romero, chief operating officer of Converge, said.
Romero DICT Luzon Cluster 2 Regional Director Reynaldo Sy signed the memorandum of agreement.
