Patients admitted in hospitals for COVID-19 monitoring down to 23
MANILA, Philippines — The number of patients under investigation (PUIs) still admitted in hospitals for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) monitoring is now only at 23 as of Tuesday morning.
This was significantly lower than the 43 PUIs still admitted in various health facilities nationwide as of Monday morning.
Data from the case tracker of the DOH showed a total of 613 PUIs have been discharged from hospitals after testing negative for the disease.
Three Chinese nationals earlier tested positive for the viral infection: the Chinese man who died on February 1, his partner who already recovered from the disease, and another Chinese woman who already flew back to China.
Overall, the number of patients checked by the health department so far for the fatal disease is now at 639.

Cordillera Administrative Region – 1 admitted, 28 discharged
Davao Region – 1 admitted, 23 discharged
Northern Mindanao – 1 admitted, 18 discharged
Eastern Visayas – 0 admitted, 18 discharged
Mimaropa – 0 admitted, 15 discharged
Ilocos Region – 1 admitted, 12 discharged
Bicol Region – 0 admitted, 13 discharged
Soccsksargen – 1 admitted, 3 discharged
Caraga – 0 admitted, 3 discharged
BARMM – 0 admitted, 1 discharged
