PACC’s Dante Jimenez named new ICAD co-chair
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has designated Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) chair Dante Jimenez as co-chair of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
Duterte signed the appointment paper of Jimenez on Feb. 21, according to a list of new presidential appointees released by Malacañang on Friday.
Jimenez’s appointment came months after the President fired Vice President Leni Robredo as ICAD co-chair.
Robredo stayed in the anti-drug body for less than three weeks.
Duterte fired her last Nov. 24 supposedly due to “lack of trust.”
The President appointed Robredo after the opposition stalwart criticized his brutal war on drugs.
