2 held for illegal drugs in Camarines Sur

LEGAZPI CITY –– A suspected drug pusher and a wanted person were arrested in separate operations in Camarines Sur province on Wednesday, police said Thursday.

Colonel Roderico Roy Jr., Camarines Sur police director, said Josafat Medalla, 21, was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Siramag in Balatan town around 5 p.m.

Recovered from Medalla were a sachet of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) and a sachet of suspected marijuana.

In Tigaon town, authorities arrested Roylan Contante, wanted for charges of attempted murder around 1:30 p.m. at the diversion road of Barangay Salvacion and Caryacayon.

Upon body search, arresting officers recovered a sachet of suspected shabu.

Contante was considered the seventh most wanted person in the said town.
