COTABATO CITY, Maguindanao, Philippines – A man caught selling drugs only two hours before his wedding was arrested by the police, who allowed him to get married to his bride before taking him back into custody.
Mat Unged, 27, a construction foreman and resident of Barangay Rosary Heights 8 here, was arrested in a drug buy-bust at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, only two hours before he would marry his girlfriend at 3 p.m. in a Muslim rite, police said.
Capt. Rustom Pastolero, Cotabato City Police Station 2 chief, said police seized from Unged a sachet of crystal meth (shabu), a motorbike without license plates, and marked money.
