MANILA, Philippines — Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains are expected nationwide in the next 24 hours due to the easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, the weather state bureau said Wednesday afternoon.
In its 4 p.m. forecast, which takes effect for 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Luzon, including Metro Manila, and the whole Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by the easterlies.
Meanwhile, Mindanao is expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Pagasa, however, said the easterlies has no significant effect on the country.
It added that no weather system is expected to develop or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility within the next three to five days.
Further, Pagasa said strong winds from east to northeast and rough coastal waters up to four meters high may be expected in the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao
The rest of the country will experience moderate to strong east to the northeast wind with moderate to rough coastal waters, it also said.
