PDEA operation: P3.4M in meth seized, 3 suspects nabbed

SAN PEDRO CITY — Anti-narcotics agents seized P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu, or crystal meth, in a buy-bust operation in Sta. Rosa City in Laguna province.

In a report on Monday (Feb. 24), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the suspected drug dealers as Aiman Baniaga, 29, from Bacoor City Cavite, and Amroding Cosain, 38, from Lipa City, Batangas.

Both suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation at the village of Tagapo around 2 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 23).

PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino, in the report, said the suspects met with undercover agents at a mall parking lot, where they sold 500 grams of suspected shabu, worth at least P3.4 million.

PDEA agents from Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon arrested them and filed charges for illegal drug possession  and sale on Monday.
