Drug suspect out on bail falls in sting, P1,000 in meth seized

LUCENA CITY—A drug suspect, who had been out on bail, was arrested yet again in a sting operation in the town of Lopez around noon on Monday (Feb. 23).

Maj. Margarito Umali, Lopez police chief, said in a report that the local police’ drug enforcement unit busted Anthony Landicho after he sold shabu, or meth, to an undercover policeman at the village of Talolong.

Police seized five sachets of shabu worth more than P1,000.

Reports said the suspect had been arrested previously but posted bail. He is on the police’s drug watch list.
