1 dead, 3 injured in Legazpi City road crash
LEGAZPI CITY – A young father perished while three other individuals were injured in a head-on collision between a tricycle and a cargo truck here Sunday night.
Senior Master Sergeant Henry Mirafuentes, the investigator on case of the Legazpi City police, said that Nino Mula, 20, a resident of Barangay San Roque, died on the spot as the tricycle he was riding and the truck collided in Barangay Cabangan at around 11:15 p.m.
Mula’s live-in partner, Princess Nikki Aquino, 18; their one-year-old child and Loiue Sodsod, 39, tricycle driver, were injured.
Initial investigation showed that the truck, driven by Samuel Mabini overtook another vehicle and hit the tricycle cruising on the opposite lane.
Mabini was arrested and detained, while appropriate charges are being prepared.
