Tricycle driver busted in Lucena drug sting
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested a tricycle driver in a drug buy-bust operation here early Monday morning.
Local police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives collared Pepito Zeta, 44, after he sold shabu to a police agent in Barangay Silangang Mayao at around 6:10 a.m., Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said.
Recovered from Zeta were 11 plastic sachets of shabu worth an estimated P13,600.
Zeta is included in the list of identified street-level drug pushers in the locality, authorities said.
His arrest was part of the police “Oplan Sacleo” (Simultaneous Anti Criminality Law Enforcement Operation) in the city.
Zeta is locked up at the city police jail and is facing charges of violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
