Forest fire stopped after 4.5 hours in Mindoro town

CITY OF CALAPAN –– A forest fire that started in Barangay Tubili in Paluan town, Occidental MIndoro about 5 p.m.m on Thursday was put out after four and a half hours, a report said on Friday.

Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan police reported that the fire started around 5 p.m. in Barangay Tubili.

At 7:20 p.m., Albert Dimaano, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer of Paluan, went to the police station to report the forest fire that was taking place in Sitio (sub-village) Igsusu.

The Bureau of Fire Protection responded to the scene, and the fire was declared out about 9:30 p.m.
