Financial exec found dead in Pasig condo

A financial executive was found dead inside his condominium unit Wednesday night in Pasig City.

Senior Superintendent Jesse Cardona, chief of police, told the Inquirer that the lifeless body of Mark Oliver San Pascual, 30, was found in a sitting position in the living room of his Corinthian Executive unit on Ortigas Avenue around 9:15 p.m.

Cardona said policemen found San Pascual with a gunshot wound in the right chest.

Cardona said a security guard called them after he was told by one of the victim’s neighbors that he heard a gunshot inside San Pascual’s unit.

Beside the victim was a .45-cal. pistol, according to Cardona.

When police did an ocular inspection of the scene, the official said that all the victim’s valuables were found intact.

“There was no forcible entry inside,” he explained.

The circumstances, therefore, Cardona said, seemed to point to suicide. He was quick to say, however, that investigators had still not discounted the possibility of foul play.

“Not yet, not yet,” he said, when asked if the case could be declared closed.

Investigators have sought the assistance of the Scene of the Crime Operatives for processing of the crime scene.

Cardona said that police would have to check if the pistol found beside the victim, who was really a resident of Mandaluyong City, was the one used to kill him.
