Teen on motorcycle slain in Eastern Samar town

ORMOC CITY –– A teen was shot dead by an unidentified suspect while driving his motorcycle in Barangay Salug in Guiuan town, Eastern Samar around 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18.

Leonil Antofino, 19, suffered a gunshot wound on the head.

His cousin, James Aniano, who was back-riding on the motorcycle, was unscathed.

Police Staff Sergeant Relvin Magtibay, case investigator, said Aniano heard a gunshot but was unsure where it came from.

Magtibay said their investigation showed that the victim had an encounter with a youngster last week, but were able to settle their differences.

The police recovered an empty shell of a .45-caliber gun in the crime scene.

The police have yet to identify the perpetrators and the motive behind the killing.
