Tricycle driver shot dead in QC

MANILA, Philippines — A tricycle driver was shot dead by a lone assailant in Quezon City Monday evening.

The victim, identified as Lauriano Bardaje III, 35, was shot dead by the motorcycle-riding gunman in Brgy. Payatas at around 7:30 p.m.

Police said Bardaje was talking with another tricycle driver when the suspect, who was wearing a helmet and a facemask, approached them and shot the victim on the head.

The suspect fled towards Sto. Niño Street and escaped on board his motorcycle.

Recovered from the scene were two fired cartridge case.

Further investigation is ongoing.
