Girl dies when motorcycle she was riding on hit stray dog in Borongan City

ORMOC CITY – A girl on board a motorcycle died after hitting a stray dog in Barangay Lalawigan, Borongan City at past 3 a.m. on Monday, February 17.

Vivian del Monte, 14, was with her boyfriend, who drove the motorcycle that hit a stray dog along the national highway, said Police Lieutenant Colonel Douglas Antonio Eloja, chief of the Borongan City Police Station.

The boyfriend survived.

Rescue groups rushed Del Monte to the Eastern Samar Provincial Hospital, but the attending physician declared her dead on arrival.
