In a phone interview with INQUIRER.net, NLEX traffic manager Robin Ignacio said the incident happened past 3 p.m. on the expressway’s southbound lane in the Mexico, Pampanga section.
Six class one vehicles and a bus were involved in the collision, he added.
According to the initial investigation, one motorist suddenly slowed down and hit the breaks, which caused the other vehicles in front to crash.
