MANILA, Philippines – Fourteen more individuals have been included in the list of individuals who have been, or are being monitored for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), or a total of 455 patients, based on the latest data from the Department of Health (DOH).
As of 10 a.m. Friday, 191 of the patients remain confined in hospitals while 259 have been discharged after testing negative for the deadly virus that broke out in China.
The three individuals who earlier tested positive for the infection are included in the tally – the 44-year-old Chinese man from Wuhan who died on February 1, 2020; his partner, a 38-year-old Chinese woman who was already discharged on Saturday, and a 60-year-old Chinese woman who had already returned to China.
Two others, one who tested positive for HIV but negative for the virus and died of pneumonia on January 29, and another who had lung disease and also died of pneumonia and not of the virus on February 6 are likewise included in the figure.
This was an increase from the previous 441 patients checked for COVID-19 by the health department as of Thursday.

Central Luzon – 22 admitted, 31 discharged
Central Visayas – 35 admitted, 18 discharged, 1 confirmed (60-year-old Chinese woman who already flew back to China)
Calabarzon – 16 admitted, 27 discharged
Western Visayas – 0 admitted, 32 discharged
Davao Region – 3 admitted, 20 discharged
Cagayan Valley – 13 admitted, 9 discharged
Cordillera Administrative Region – 8 admitted, 13 discharged
Eastern Visayas, 2 admitted, 15 discharged
Northern Mindanao – 3 admitted, 12 discharged
Mimaropa – 2 admitted, 10 discharged
Ilocos Region – 2 admitted, 5 discharged
Bicol Region – 2 admitted, 3 discharged
Caraga – 1 admitted, 1 discharged
Soccsksargen – 1 admitted, 0 discharged
Nearly 1,500 individuals have died due to the virus, all in mainland China except three in the Philippines, Hong Kong, and most recently in Japan.
The number of infected individuals in at least 25 affected countries is now more than 60,000.
