LOOK: Bouquet of sanitary products sold in flower market
MANILA, Philippines — Trust Filipinos to not let the COVID-19 outbreak dampen the mood on Valentine’s Day.
A store in Dangwa flower market in Manila took loving and caring a notch higher by selling not only fresh flowers, but also — you guessed it — bouquets of sanitary and health products.
The improvised bouquet features bottles of alcohol and hand sanitizer, face masks, wet wipes, and even sanitary pads.
This came following public fears of interaction with others over COVID-19, the name given by the World Health Organization to refer to the novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) that plagued China, killing over 1,300 people and infecting 60,000 as of Thursday.
The Philippines has three confirmed cases, with over 400 patients under investigation (PUIs) for suspected infection. The country likewise recorded the first and only death over COVID-19 outside of China.
Article continues after this advertisementApart from the bouquet which may protect a person from the dreaded virus, there are also other unique and more practical bouquets one can give to their loved ones.
One bouquet included different types of sardines, while another included vegetables, both inserted with either white or red roses.
