2 drug pushers held in Lucena

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested two notorious “shabu” (crystal meth) peddlers in a buy-bust operation here early Thursday.

Andrew Gajol, 30, and Jeff Paglicawan, 20, were collared after they sold shabu to an undercover police officer in Barangay Cotta around 7 a.m., Lt. Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a report.

Authorities seized five plastic sachets of shabu weighing 6.5 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P12,136. The confiscated shabu is worth P36,075 in the street market at the prevailing price of P5,550 a gram.

Police tagged Gajol and Paglicawan as among the few remaining notorious shabu peddlers in the village and nearby areas.
