LEGAZPI CITY –– Two suspected drug pushers were killed in separate buy-bust operations in Sorsogon and Camarines Sur provinces Wednesday, police said Thursday.
Alvin Dichoso, a resident of Barangay Sampaloc, Sorsogon City, drew out a gun of unknown caliber and fired shots, forcing policemen to shoot back during a buy-bust in his village around 9:30 p.m., Colonel Roque Bausa, director of Sorsogon police, said. Recovered was a heat-sealed sachet with suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P1,000.
In a separate operation in Barangay Delos Angeles in Buhi, Camarines Sur, John Alfred Lleno, 33, was also killed in a firefight after he sensed that he was transacting with undercover police at 2:10 p.m.
Seized from Lleno were 12 sachets of suspected shabu worth P15,000, Colonel Roderico Roy Jr., Camarines Sur police chief, said in a report.
Anti-narcotics operatives recovered a caliber .38, two fired cartridges, and four other cartridges. Two fired cartridges of caliber 9 mm were also recovered in the area.
