Did You Know: Metro Manila had most HIV cases in August 2019

Based on the latest data of the Department of Health, Metro Manila posted the highest number of new human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) cases among all regions in August 2019.

Of the 1,228 new HIV cases reported nationwide during that month, 34 percent or 417 were from the National Capital Region, followed by Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon provinces) with 18 percent or 218 cases. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
