49 persons quarantined at New Clark City’s athlete village – DOH
MANILA, Philippines — Forty nine individuals are now being quarantined at the New Clark City’s athlete village, the Department of Health (DOH) said Monday.
“Now, 49 po yung nakalagay doon sa ating quarantine facility sa athlete’s village sa New Clark City,” DOH Undersecretary Gerard Bayugo said in a press briefing in Malacañang.
Out of the number, Bayugo said 17 where involved in the repatriation efforts of the Filipinos repatriated from Wuhan.
Bayugo said this number includes five members of the DOH and three from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) who welcomed the repatriated Filipinos.
Also undergoing the 14-day mandatory quarantine are six crew members of the aircraft and three ground crew members, Bayugo added.
DFA on Sunday said 30 Filipinos landed at the Haribon Hangar and would be subjected to a 14-day quarantine period in New Clark City.
Article continues after this advertisementAs of Sunday, DOH reported there are 284 persons under investigation (PUIs) of suspected novel coronavirus (nCoV) in the country, while there are three confirmed cases.
