3 ‘shabu’ peddlers busted in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested three suspected drug pushers and seized P149,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in Sariaya town in Quezon province Saturday night, police said.

Raymond Aguda, 31, Ray Ann de Ocampo, 35, and Marie Pinohermoso, 19, were nabbed after they sold shabu to an undercover police officer in a transaction in Barangay (village) Mamala 2 around 7:50 p.m., Colonel Audie Madrideo, Quezon police chief, said in a report Sunday.

Six plastic sachets of shabu weighing 24.9 grams worth P149,400 in the street were seized. The current price of shabu is P6,000 per gram in the locality.

Police tagged the suspects as notorious peddlers and suppliers of shabu to street level drug pushers in Sariaya.

The suspects are facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
