Feb.9: Kali-Kalihan Festival
The town of Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental province, features the martial art of “kali,” also known as “arnis,”which has become the town’s cultural heritage. The town also celebrates its 37th founding anniversary.
Feb. 9 to 14: Utanon Festival
A thanksgiving festival through dance and music in Dalaguete town, Cebu province. Known as the vegetable basket of Cebu, Dalaguete also honors its patron saint, San Guillermo, for a bountiful harvest in the past year.
Feb. 9 to 21: Suman Festival
Residents in Clarin town, Misamis Occidental province, showcase its famous agricultural product, “suman,”or glutinous rice wrapped in palm leaves. Clarin, which was founded in February 1921, is considered the suman capital of Misamis Occidental.
