MANILA, Philippines — As people look to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the National Wages and Productivity Commission has some reminder to the public: February 14 is not a holiday.

In a Facebook post, the wage board said that February 14, which falls on a Friday, is a normal working day “even if love makes the world go round.”

Because even if love makes the world go round, February 14 is still not a holiday. 😂

February 14 may not be a holiday, but as some netizens have pointed out, Valentine’s Day is payday for a lot of workers.

As of this writing, the post has so far garnered more than 17,000 reactions and over 5,800 shares.
