LUCENA CITY — At least six suspected drug pushers were arrested in a series of buy-bust operations in Quezon province on Friday and Thursday, according to police reports.
Anti-illegal drugs operatives nabbed Roger Rocero, 37, after he sold a plastic sachet of “shabu” (crystal meth) to a police agent in Barangay Gulang-Gulang in this city around 12:30 a.m. Friday, Lt. Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a report.
The suspect yielded seven plastic sachets of shabu worth P4,995 in the local street market.
Also arrested were suspected shabu peddlers Margarito Manalo in Mulanay town; Froilan Roperez in Pagbilao; Darwin Borbon in Tagkawayan; Nestor Arida in Candelaria; and Alexander Reyes in Tayabas City in a series of operations on Thursday.
Police confiscated less than one gram of shabu in several plastic sachets from each of the suspects, who were all identified small-time drug pushers in their respective localities./lzb
