MANILA, Philippines—A hand grenade was recovered near a government office in Cotabato City Wednesday morning, a Philippine National Police spokesman said.

Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said that one unit of M57 fragmentation grenade was found beside the fence of the Office of Civil Service 12 along Rosary Heights 7 in Cotabato City around 9 a.m.

A utility worker of the office, identified as Pepito Calanyan Amado, was said to have found the bomb, Cruz said.
