ORMOC CITY — A woman who has been declared missing by her family for four days was found dead around 10 a.m. on Thursday (Feb. 6) at the village of Sabang South, Borongan City.

Lt. Col. Doughlas Anonio Eloja, chief of the Borongan police, identified the woman as Ma. Theresa Ador Morte, 49. She had been declared missing since Sunday (Feb. 2).

Witnesses said a neighbor had invited Morte on Sunday morning to gather copra. It was the last time Morte was seen alive.

Morte’s body was found naked. An underwear she had probably been wearing was seen pulled down to her knee.
